Ensuring that our doors are kept open and that fair, speedy immigration processes are in place are of central importance to the New Democrats. In her previous role as the NDP Immigration Critic, Olivia worked hard to push back against unfair Conservative measures and ensure that the victims of discrimination, oppression and government mistreatment are heard and compensated.

The Citizenship and Immigration Committee passed NDP Immigration critic Olivia Chow’s motion urging the government to reverse the $53 million in funding cuts to immigration settlement agencies.
