You have probably heard about the recent explosion of a Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. Like me you were probably appalled to hear that each day, 750,000 litres of oil are gushing into the ocean.
With the passing of this monumental legislation, Canada will finally be on its way to having clear regulations and frameworks for fighting climate change, and will once again be an environmental leader on the world stage. All that remains is for Bill C-311 to pass the Senate and become law.
