JACK the Movie: Watch it this Sunday on CBC

TORONTO – The moving story of Jack Layton’s life and death is coming to your TV screen. This Sunday, the CBC is premiering the biopic JACK at 8 p.m. EST. The full-length feature lets the viewer relive the life of the late NDP Leader, MP and former Toronto City Councillor in a touching way.
“I wanted Jack’s story to inspire more people to get involved and try to make the world a better place,” Olivia Chow explains. “Jack’s work shows how ordinary people can work together and achieve great things – for their community, their city and their country.”
Rick Roberts, who is portraying Jack Layton in the film, is a versatile and well-regarded actor best known for his work on series like Republic of Doyle, This isWonderland and Traders.
Sook-Yin Lee, the well-known host of CBC’s Definitely Not theOpera and a filmmaker in her own right, is playing Olivia Chow as Jack’s spouse and political partner.
