Truck Sideguards: Winnipeg Cyclists Joins the Push

Prominent Winnipeg Cycling Group Bike to the Future Endorses Sideguard Bill C-344

WINNIPEG – Winnipeg’s leading cycling advocacy organization, Bike to the Future, is joining the push for mandatory truck sideguards to make our roads safer. In a letter to Transport Minister Lebel, the group urges federal action to make the life-saving measure a reality.

Olivia Chow, NDP Transport Critic and sponsor of Bill C-344 welcomes the endorsement: “The support from Winnipeg and other cities shows that it’s cyclists and pedestrians across Canada demand improved road safety through sideguards.”
