Diamond Jubilee Medal – Nominate Your Hero
Let’s Celebrate Public Service with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal
June 5, 2012
TORONTO – Our communities thrive when ordinary people get involved, volunteer and make a difference. Now it’s your time to honour your neighbourhood hero – with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Commemorating Queen Elizabeth’s 60 years of public service as our head of state, the Diamond Jubilee Medal recognizes exceptional Canadians of all ages for their contributions to their communities and our country.
From helping out at a local child care centre, to helping newcomers settle in, or advocating for a better community, countless people in Trinity-Spadina make a difference every day.
Nominate your neighbourhood hero through your MP Olivia Chow. In order to be eligible for a medal, the person you nominate must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada living in the riding of Trinity-Spadina that has made a significant contribution to the community and Canada.
Deadline for submissions was November 1, 2012.
