Prestigious Award Honours Late New Democrat Leader for Lifetime Achievement

OTTAWA – At the Annual Parliamentarian Awards Event, Jack was honoured posthumously with the Lifetime Achievement Award. As a Member of Parliament, Jack represented the constituents of Toronto-Danforth from 2004 until he passed away in the summer of 2011.
As a tireless community leader and social justice advocate, the New Democrat Member of Parliament always spoke loudly for his constituents and all Canadians. He brought the NDP to new heights in the 2011 Election when the party became the official opposition.
