Adoptive Families: Olivia is Fighting to End Unequal Treatment

That, in the opinion of the House, in order to remain in compliance with Canada’s ratification of the 1961 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness, the government should revoke the provision of April 17, 2009, which downgrades or strips away the citizenship status of the children and grand children of expatriated Canadians and adoptive families.
